How to Copy Text on Sites that Block It

Every now and then I come across sites on the Internet that prevent you from copying the text displayed.
So if you have the same problem and you want to copy things from sites here you go some solutions to overcome this :

Method 1: Turn off JavaScript

Most websites use JavaScript to block mouse functionality. If you turn off JavaScript on the site temporarily or permanently, you will be able to copy the text.
  • Firefox users can press F12, there on the Preferences icon to disable JavaScript in the menu that opens.
  • Chrome users can disable JavaScript in the Content settings: chrome://settings/content
  • Internet Explorer users can turn off JavaScript in Internet Option > Security > Zone > Custom Level > Active Scripting
  • Opera users can disable JavaScript under Websites in the Opera settings: opera://settings

Method 2: The source

You can also display the source code of the website you are on  and copy anything from it without restriction.
Simply press Ctrl + u while you are on the site and the source code will be displayed. This works in most browsers including Firefox, Chrome and Internet Explorer.
It is still necessary to find the text or content that you are looking for in the source. Use Ctrl + f to jump directly to it.
There you can also find links to images and other contents that you will be able to save or copy now.

Method 3: Extensions and scripts

The third and final option is most suitable if you encounter sites regularly that prohibit right-click use or text copying :
RightToClick for Firefox disables JavaScript annoyances such as forbidding right-clicks or text selection on sites.

RightToCopy for Chrome Enable right clicking, selecting, and copying text on pages that prevent these features. Also, prevent clipboard text injection.

Allow copy Allow Copy will re-enable select, copy, paste and right click in any webpage using any copy protection.

You can find many extensions for these two browsers.

How to View Installed Apps in Windows 10 in Grid Mode

Windows 10 allows you to view all apps installed in your laptop with the All Apps option on the Start menu.

If you want a more straightforward view of all apps you’ve installed without opening the start menu, you can put all the shortcuts of the apps installed in one folder which makes the access easier.

Simply go to your Desktop > Right Click > Shortcut > type explorer.exe Shell:AppsFolder. In this special folder, you’ll be able to see all of your installed apps (this includes installed software, Modern apps, and Windows).

What’s good about this menu is that it makes things easier. You can right-click on any installed program and interact with it as if you were in the Start menu. Thus, you can uninstall a program, pin it to your Start menu or Taskbar, or create a shortcut

You can also watch this video and see how to do all the steps written before:

It’s not a big problem it’s just that the distribution of your Linux doesn’t have the necessary codecs.

How to Enable the Num lock Button in Windows

If you want to automatically enable Num Lock button at boot of Windows just follow these steps :

First of all you need to launch the Registry editor by opening the Start menu > Type regedit > Press Enter > Click Yes.

Now we are going to change the “InitialKeyboardIndicators” value in different places.
First, head to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Keyboard. Double-click the “InitialKeyboardIndicators” value and set it to 2.

Next go to HKEY_USERS folder. Now we are going to repeat the above process many times by changing the InitialKeyboardIndicators value under each folder inside the HKEY_USERS folder.
First of all go to HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Keyboard, and changing the InitialKeyboardIndicators value to 2

Now, repeat the process for all the folders under the .DEFAULT that start with an “S-“.

After finishing this, shut down your laptop then start it again, once you reach the lock screen don’t log in, but you will find that the Num Lock is not enabled so just press on it and shut down the laptop once more.

Now boot it again and the Num Lock will be automatically enabled from now on.

How to Free Up some Space used By your IPhone's Mail App

Apple’s mail app always downloads and store the emails so you can access them easily and so Spotlight can use them. But in some cases it’s not a good thing especially if you have a lot of mails which it can use a large amount of space.

So first of all let’s take a look on how much space this application is taking.
To do so open Settings > Storage & iCloud Usage > Manage Storage and then you just have to scroll down to the mail application. This will show you how much the mail and attachments are using.

So to reduce this you can manually remove the mails especially those with attachments.
If you just want to find mails with attachments, you can tap Mailboxes > Edit > Enable Attachments

NOTE : Don’t forget to make sure that the trash is empty after cleaning your inbox.

But probably this is not the easiest way to do it, this method will delete your mail from the server once for all, also it will take a long time.

A Better Methode: Remove the Account and Re-Add it

For a better solution and an easier one. You can force your device’s Mail app to start over and discard all those offline copies of emails by removing your current email accounts and re-adding them.
To do this, go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Tap the name of your email account > Delete Account.

Next, power down your device and start it back again to ensure all offline caches are completely cleared.
Open the Mail app and you’ll be asked to provide your email account details again.

Your iPhone will start downloading your mails again, but it will clear out the old backlog of cached emails and file attachments.

NOTE : This is a better solution but not the best one, is just a temporary one. After a while the Mail app will take more and more space like it used to be.

For a permanent solution you can install another Mail application and use it instead of the one of apple.
