To download Windows 10 you should do it directly from Microsoft’s web site as of right now, you don't need to download it from other sites and risk that it can be filled with viruses.
NOTE: You can use the tool to upgrade the current laptop. If you want to create installation media, select the second option on the first screen popping up after execution of the program on your system.
Here are all the steps you need whether to upgrade or to create an installation media
  • First of all choose what you need

  • Here you can choose the language you want, the edition and the architecture (whether it’s  32-bit or 64-bit).

  • Here you can select the type of media you want to create. You can put Windows 10 on a USB lash drive (you need a USB that can support at least 3GB) or you can create an ISO file.

  • If you selected USB, you will be asked to pick an appropriate USB Flash Drive. And if you selected ISO, you will be asked to pick a location on the computer where the file will be saved.

Windows 8 / 8.1
If you want to just download the installation media for Windows 8.1, Microsoft can allow you to download that image without even entering your product key directly from there web site.
First of all download the Windows Installation Media Creation Tool, then select the details about which version you want (Windows 8.1 or 8.1 Pro ...), and then you just have to follow through the wizard to create your boot media.
