How to clear your Dropbox cache in Linux Mint

When you delete sensitive files from your Dropbox account, you think you’ve deleted them permanently. However, the files remain in a hidden cache folder on your hard drive for emergency purposes that is cleared automatically every three days.
If you need the space, you can manually clear the cache by deleting these files. And that’s what you will find in this article the location of the cache folders in Windows and Linux.

 The Steps :

To access the “Files Manager” in Linux Mint, double-click the “Home” icon on the desktop.

Before we start you must make sure that hidden files are shown.

To do so, open the “View” menu and make sure there is a check mark in front of the “Show Hidden Files” option.

Or you can press “Ctrl + H” to toggle the hidden files view.

Double-click the “Dropbox” folder.

In the “Dropbox” folder, double click the “.dropbox.cache” folder.

Select all the folders and files in the “.dropbox.cache” folder, right-click on them, and select “Delete”.
